Ksenia Antipova, presenter of the Compatriots TV magazine, is talking with the Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Lyubov Yolkina.

- Media holding "Greater Asia" is a strategic partner of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and, since we often talk about the Assembly's projects both on our TV channel and on the website, today's interview will be more likely for those who, for some reason, are not yet familiar with your organization . Let's start dating! Love, when and how was the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly established?

- The Assembly was established on May 27, 2017. A few days later, the Big Asia holding appeared. "Greater Asia" is a strategic media partner of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. We share a lot of the same goals. Both organizations are young, but, it seems to me, very promising.

I have a booklet in my hands, which we show, tell when new members, outside organizations want to join us. It is called the "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly".  The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly appeared as a kind of platform for discussing meanings, for discussing the future, for the development of integration processes, for uniting the cooperation of non-governmental organizations, in the first place.

Today, we unite representatives of public organizations from 43 countries of the Eurasia continent . Our main goal is the formation of a social integration model in the name of establishing peace and harmony among the peoples of the Eurasian continent. A rather pompous goal, but it is also simple at the same time. When the leadership of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly declares that we are for peace and friendship, it is true!

- You have already said that the Assembly began its work in 2017 . And how many countries did the first congress bring together?

- The initiative to establish the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly was born in Russia. This initiative was initiated by the largest all-Russian organization, the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia, and its partners. The interest was so great that representatives of organizations from 67 countries came to Moscow for the founding Congress. 2500 people, 3 days of the Congress, 40 thematic sites. A good result at the end - the Charter was signed, goals and objectives were defined that we should move towards peace and harmony through cultural cooperation, through humanitarian cooperation. This is written in our statutory documents, and we have been doing this work with the help of all our members and partners for 3 years now.

Love, what language does the Assembly speak? Maybe there are several?

Xenia, you are right, we have several official languages. The Russian language, since the initiative was born in Russia, and the Russian language is, in fact, very popular in the world. And English is our second working language.

I can say that there are those who did not know Russian, but even learned some phrases while working with members of the Assembly. Backstage communication is now possible before our meetings, that is, we can exchange a couple of phrases in Russian. It's very nice!

- And how does the organization work? Do I understand correctly that for each area of activity a specialized Council is created from representatives of different countries?

- You are absolutely right! The structure of the Assembly has specialized Councils that deal with projects in certain areas. There are certain conditions for the creation of the Council. We should have representatives of Asia, representatives of Europe and representatives of Russia. This condition was accepted at the establishment of the organization. The Secretary General has a deputy from the European region, a deputy from the Asian region, and a deputy from Russia. This is how we are arranged, this is how we built the structure.

In 2017, I can honestly say that the structure of the Assembly took shape a little spontaneously. We have created more than 30 Councils, and after 3 years now we understand that there is a certain process of enlargement. We realized that we have projects that can be united on a humanitarian platform. There are projects that can be combined on an ecological platform. Everything related to media and journalism is on the information.  Once every 4 years, the General Assembly is held, for which we have already begun to prepare. It will be held in 2021, and there we will announce this enlargement and talk about these platforms.

In the international direction, we plan to obtain coordinating membership with UNESCO and the UN. This is very important for the status of any non-governmental organization. This is very important for us, because we have a lot of what coincides with the sustainable development goals and a lot of what we could bring to the development of achieving these goals. Now, after three years, we can start this procedure - obtaining coordinating membership, and we are doing it.

- For 3 years you have had quite a lot of interesting projects . What, in your opinion, were the largest, large-scale and significant?

- We can say that some of them have become areas of activity. For example, working with children. We have "grown" the direction of "Eurasia Kids". "Children of Eurasia" is a multimedia project, now it is also taking place online. Partially initially held online: meetings, educational workshops, festival projects, camps.

There is a "School of Friendship" in Serbia, which at first we implemented as a project, but it has grown into a whole direction, to which various public organizations, charitable foundations join. We all understand that this is a very sincere story, this is a very kind story, this is a very important story, because these children will shape the future.

Also, the direction of work with youth has grown into the youth wing of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly - Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia. We hope that over time it will become autonomous. I can honestly tell you that at the moment we do not have a leader of this organization, but we have a very powerful asset, very good projects, for example, projects of lecture halls of the Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia, where we discuss geopolitical issues, educational issues - everything that worries young people: where you can get experience or talk about what worries them. This initiative was launched during the pandemic, and is now taking place online, but we hope that there will be live meetings.

Also, our Youth Assembly of Eurasian Peoples launched the project "Discover Eurasia". The first stage has started. At the first stage, we made a photo contest. We want to show the best places in Eurasia and at the same time form a certain pool of photographers or people who love to take pictures. We will involve them in our activities, invite them to our events, arrange meetings, ask what they care about.

Since 2017, one of the global flagship projects has been the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in different countries. Until the spring of this year, they were held in full-time format. We have visited France, India, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates. Many countries were planned this year, but the pandemic has made adjustments. Probably, in the autumn we will hold the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in an online format.

What are the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly? We have meetings with business, round tables on cultural layers, and discussions are taking place on the preservation of general historical moments. Youth meet there. A delegation of representatives from different countries is being formed at the Assembly and, accordingly, half of the participants in these Days are representatives of the country in which we arrived.

This year, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II and the Great Victory of the Soviet people, we launched megaproject "WIN TOGETHER - in the name of peace and creation". This project brings together a lot of events, a lot of events that we will have until the end of the year. In general, this topic has never weakened with us. It's just that attention all over the world is riveted to her now, and we are glad that this topic is being discussed.

Tell us more about him! What events and actions were held within the framework of this megaproject?

Thank you, Ksenia, for the question! You already know that "Greater Asia" covered several of our events. We had a teleconference “Meeting on the Elbe” on April 24.  An absolutely great event. We, accordingly, did it in an online format, we had broadcasts on YouTube, on Facebook. More than 1000 people watched and joined, participated, asked questions. They were both Russian speakers and English speakers. The main backbone is the CIS countries, the countries of the former USSR. But we are all connected by this theme - the theme of the Great Victory. First of all, these are the former Soviet Republics, Russia.

Another series of events that take place within the framework of the megaproject is the International Public Forums. The first one started at the end of 2019. He was full-time, in Azerbaijan. This forum on preserving the historical memory of the results of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War has passed.

We hold forums in iconic places. We had the Yalta Forum in the Livadia Palace, where we had a historic meeting. The nearest event, which will be held in Sevastopol, is the Documentary Film Festival "Won Together". The International Public Forum will take place within the framework of this Festival. It always takes place with international participation. China, Turkey, representatives of other countries are very actively joining. It is discussed how to preserve what was in fact; how to pass it on to our descendants, our children; what non-governmental organizations can do for this and how we are moving towards this. We form a resolution after each International Public Forum, and at the end of the year we will form a common final document that will be sent to UNESCO, the UN and other large organizations.

Returning to the 75 anniversary of the Victory. Every year on June 22, we hold an International Commemorative Action. The first took place in Kyrgyzstan, in Bishkek. This year we had to do it online. Initially, we did not think that it would cause such interest, but the connections were from different parts of Eurasia, all 15 former Soviet Republics. People contacted us online from memorials. The action was started in Dubosekovo, from Russia it was started. And in turn, each country told where they were, at which memorial, what it was dedicated to. There were all: both adults and children. No one was embarrassed that it was 4 o'clock in the morning. People stood up because they understand that they need to talk about it. It needs to be recorded, transmitted, shown, it needs to be talked about.

As part of this Action, we read the Requiem in 20 languages. This also took place partly online, partly someone gave us the recording, because due to quarantine, not everyone could be in some historical place at that time. They left early and sent us a recording. “And remember those who left forever! I conjure you, remember!" — it was read in 20 languages. We have this entry. Of course, it gives you goosebumps.

Whatdoes the Assembly have in its plans for the near future? i>

We have begun to prepare for the General Assembly, a landmark event for us. It is held every 4 years, it is written in the Charter. In theory, it should be in the spring of 2021. But when the General Assembly meets, all members of the Assembly gather: the Presidium, the Deputy Secretary General, our partners come. This is a big event, and it needs to be held face-to-face. I will not name the host country yet, several countries are being discussed where we can host it. Of course, we will talk about this.

Among the upcoming events is the "Discover Eurasia" contest. We are waiting for everyone! Most likely, we will slightly extend the time - until the end of September. The first works have already arrived, very beautiful places, pleasing to the eye. If we show our Altai or something else in the United Arab Emirates, it seems to me that this is very good. The terms and conditions are on our website. The competition is called “Discover Eurasia”.
At the end of August, the International Documentary Film Festival “Won Together” opened in Sevastopol. At the beginning of September, we are planning to hold the International Public Forum “WIN TOGETHER - in the name of peace and creation” in the same place, in Sevastopol. So far, online projects.

We have a series we call Partner Meeting. And the pandemic gave us a chance. If earlier we had these meetings as part of the Assembly Days, we planned the meetings, we had to travel, organize, and now no one has canceled the joy of communication, but we meet online. This is a kind of presentation platform where we once again talk about the goals and objectives of the Assembly. We present partners, they talk about themselves. We do live broadcasts. They go to Facebook, our social media community. Partners find common ground with each other, sometimes they go further, which is also very good.

We have already had meetings with the Eurasian Creative Guild "London" - these are our partners. "Russian House" in Verona, Italy. International Mugham Center, Azerbaijan. A meeting is planned, possibly with African partners. We communicate quite closely with them and see great prospects here.

We are open for cooperation! We invite to the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly those who value the values of peace, friendship, culture, sports, youth!..
