It is minus 40 in Tura and Kondinsk, minus 43 in Yeniseisk.

Torchbearers carried the fire of the Winter Universiade 2019 through the streets of Yeniseisk in 43-degree frost. 12 athletes changed each other at a distance of 2300 meters.

“We broke the record of Tura and Kodinsk, where it was about 40 degrees below zero, in Yeniseisk the temperature was 43 degrees below zero. The relay was cheerful and excellent, the residents of the city welcomed us,” the organizing committee of the event said.

< div> Despite the extreme cold, many residents of one of Siberia's oldest cities - turning 400 years old - came to watch the relay and greet the torchbearers.

The finish of the torch relay took place on the central square of Yeniseisk, where a special bowl was previously installed in which the flame of the World Student Games was lit.

The next stage of the Universiade torch relay will be held in Kansk on February 9.< br>
