"The sailboat Pallada left Ulysses Bay, the frigate Nadezhda and the orchestra were escorted from the pier in the city center, around noon (5:00 Moscow time) they approached each other, and a little later they were joined by cruising yachts and a youth flotilla of yachts. Sailboats and yachts of all classes will pass during the day along the coastline of the Amur Bay, they will be clearly visible in the area of Fedorov Bay and the Sports Embankment," the press service reported.

Cruising yachts of all classes, participating vessels of children's competitions and the Platu 25 regatta will take part in the parade, which will last until September 7. The parade program includes children's and youth yacht competitions, a sailing regatta, cruising yacht races and shore events.

The Pallada training sailboat was built in 1989 and named after the frigate, which in 1852-1855 sailed with the diplomatic mission of Vice Admiral Euphemia Putyatin from Kronstadt to the shores of Japan. The sailboat has the honorary status of a participant in major international regattas and maritime festivals in Europe, America, Australia and Asia, where crew members have always received high awards. Pallada is also a candidate for inclusion in the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest sailing vessel in the world. It is capable of sailing on its sails at a speed of over 18 knots.

The three-masted frigate Nadezhda was built in 1991, has a full sailing armament of 26 sails, operated exclusively by hand. The name of the vessel was given in honor of the legendary sloop Nadezhda, on board of which Russian sailors under the command of Ivan Kruzenshtern and Yuri Lisyansky circumnavigated the world for the first time in the history of the Russian fleet.

The VII Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok from September 5 to 8, the main theme is "On the way to a multipolar world". The forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation. TASS is the general information partner and the official photo-hosting agency of the event.
