Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games kick off



The 2020 Paralympics have started in Tokyo. On the opening day, the sky over the metropolis was painted in the colors of the Olympic rings.
Despite the difficult situation with the COVID-19 epidemic, many locals came out to support the athletes and watch the spectacular flight of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force aerobatic team.

“I have a lot of concerns about COVID-19, but I think that Japan, as host nation of the Paralympic Games, makes every effort to ensure that athletes can safely participate in the Games,” said local resident Kana Matsuyama.
