The seventh ice half marathon Honor Vladivostok Ice Run was held in Vladivostok

Athletes from 30 regions of Russia and eight countries took part in it.


The annual ice half marathon Honor Vladivostok Ice Run, which took place on Saturday in Vladivostok on the ice of Novik Bay on Russky Island, brought together about 1,300 participants from 30 regions of Russia and eight more countries, the press service of the government of Primorsky Krai reports.

" The seventh ice half marathon Honor Vladivostok Ice Run started in the Far Eastern capital on Saturday, February 19. Governor of Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako ran the "ten-kilometer run" together with the participants. The event brought together athletes from 30 regions of Russia and eight countries," - According to the report.

According to TASS in the press service of the half marathon, a total of 1,300 people from Russia, as well as England, Australia, Argentina, Spain, the Republic of Mauritius, the Republic of Korea, Japan and France took part in the race. Evgeny Bushkov from Vladivostok won the victory at the longest distance of 21.1 km among men. Among women, Lidiya Zhukova was the first to finish.

Distances of five, 10 and 21.1 km were presented in the half marathon. Children could choose for themselves segments of 500 meters and one km. On the site of the event, hot tea and pilaf were offered to guests and athletes, a photo zone was installed. Safety on the ice was provided by seaside rescuers.

The total prize fund, which was shared by the winners of all distances, amounted to 300,000 rubles. All participants also received medals. The weather on Saturday contributed to a comfortable winter run: the air temperature was about minus 5 degrees, it was sunny with a slight and weak wind.
