10,000 spectators came to watch the stage of the Winter Student Games.
This is the highest figure in the region, the directorate of the competition told TASS.
The torch was carried through the streets of the Krasnoyarsk city by 16 people, including Olga Medvedtseva, two-time Olympic champion in biathlon, ambassador of the Universiade 2019, five-time world kickboxing champion Ildar Gabbasov and Minister of Transport of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Konstantin Dimitrov.
The Universiade flame will be delivered from Zheleznogorsk to Divnogorsk, where on February 28 the penultimate stage of the relay will take place.
Student games will be held in Krasnoyarsk from 2 to 12 March. Participants will compete for 76 sets of awards in 11 sports: biathlon, alpine skiing, curling, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, ski orienteering, figure skating, freestyle, hockey, bandy and short track.
Previously « Big Asia” reported that Krasnoyarsk children knitted hats and scarves for the Universiade guests. Warm gifts were prepared by pupils of 35 kindergartens and their parents. Each preschool has its own design. For example, they decorated their products with the number 2019, the inscription "Krasnoyarsk", snowflakes, traditional patterns and bullfinches.
