The fifth day of the CIS Games brought Russia 12 gold medals

Russian athletes won 12 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze medals on the fifth competitive day of the CIS Games. Competitions are held in Kazan.

On Tuesday, medals were awarded in bullet and clay shooting, sambo and Thai boxing.

Gold medals in shooting were won by Evgeny Potapov, Ilya Savelyev and Iulita Egorova. Margarita Barneva, Ekaterina Tsybert, Evgenia Chiresh, Ekaterina Doroshenko, Elena Allenova, Ali Dagoev, Ilya Zatylkin, Levan Manukyan and Iosif Simin.
< br> Russian athletes have won 63 gold, 20 silver and 22 bronze medals over five days of competition and take first place in the medal standings. On the second line is the team of Uzbekistan (16-25-18), on the third - athletes from Azerbaijan (11-6-15).

Games of the CIS countries are held for the first time, teams of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia take part in them , Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The competition will last until September 11, 1,139 athletes from 14 to 23 years old take part in them. The program of the Games includes 16 sports, in which 182 sets of awards are played: badminton, basketball (3x3), boxing, wrestling, judo, karate, belt wrestling, table tennis, bullet shooting, sambo, sports wrestling, clay shooting, Thai boxing , dance sport, mini-football and rhythmic gymnastics.
