Tamara Tansykkuzhina became a seven-time world champion.

 RussianTamara Tansykkuzhina defended her title of World Drafts Champion by outplaying the Pole Natalya Sadovskaya. The final match of nine rounds was held in Warsaw, the winner was determined in a tie-break.

The final started on 23 April. After nine rounds of confrontation, the score was equal - 54:54. On the final day in the classic checkers game, it was not possible to determine the winner. Natalya Sadovskaya was the leader in points, it was enough for her to draw in fast checkers, but she lost. Then two games of rapid drafts and three games of blitz ended in a draw, in the fourth game of blitz the Russian won.

Initially, it was planned to hold the match on December 15–29, 2020, first in Moscow, then in St. Petersburg. 42-year-old Tamara Tansykkuzhinabecame a seven-time world champion. 29-year-old Natalya Sadovskaya is a two-time world champion.

During the fourth round of the confrontation on April 27, the Russian flag and the plate with the name of the Russian woman and the tricolor were removed right during the meeting. The Russian woman was distracted by this, after which she made a gross mistake and lost the game. Before the next game day, the Polish checkers player removed the flag of her country from the table as a sign of solidarity.

The decision to remove Russian symbols was dictated by the sanctions of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Russian athletes at the World Championships and the Olympic Games cannot compete under the national flag, and the national anthem cannot be played in their honor.
