In 2018, there was a revision of the weight categories, as a result of which the number of medals for men and women became equal and new weight categories appeared. For Guo Xingzhun this is the first gold of the Olympics, at the Games in 2016 she won bronze. Also, the weightlifter is the owner of a world record; at the World Championships in 2019, she showed a result of 246 kg. During her career, she became a four-time world champion, a three-time Asian champion and a two-time winner of the Universiade.
