"Ski track of Russia" will be held in Ugra in online format, the mass start was canceled due to the coronavirus.

The All-Russian Ski Track of Russia will be held in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug in the form of online races, the mass start was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported by the press service of Yugramegasport.

“The open all-Russian mass race “Ski Track of Russia” starts on February 12. Due to the epidemiological situation, competitions are held in the form of online races and sport races. The mass run has been cancelled,  the message says.

According to the press service, the races will be held in 20 municipalities of Ugra. Registration for them has already started and will last until 11 February inclusive on the Ugramegasport website. Each participant of the competition who has reached the age of 18 must present an identity document, a personal QR code, or a certificate of carried coronavirus within the last six months, or a negative PCR test made no later than 72 hours before start.

Residents up to 64 years of age will be able to take part in online races. They need to cover a distance of at least 1.5 km on any convenient track at any time from 3 to 12 February.

The Ski Track of Russia has been held annually since 1982 and is the largest in terms of the number of participants and geographic coverage of the winter sports event in the world.
