Six Russian figure skaters took part in a gala performance at the Olympics

Dancers Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitry Solovyov, a couple Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov, as well as single skaters Alina Zagitova and Evgenia Medvedeva performed in a traditional Olympic gala performance with demonstration numbers.

Olympic champion Zagitova presented the program "Priestess of Fire", Evgenia Medvedeva performed a number to Viktor Tsoi's song "Cuckoo" performed by Polina Gagarina, Bobrov and Solovyov - to the song "Together" performed by Nargiz and Maxim Fadeev. Tarasova and Morozov performed an exemplary performance to Lionel Richie's composition How long.

All champions of Pyeongchang took part in the box office, with the exception of Alena Savchenko and Bruno Massot from Germany, who did not perform due to their partner's illness. At the end of the performances, the traditional words of gratitude from the skaters were said by Canadian dancers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, at the Olympics in Sochi they were also said by the Canadian figure skater Patrick Chan.

This time the participants of the gala show did without the traditional demonstration of their best elements . The athletes finished the performances with a traditional photo session. For a group photo, the Japanese Yuzuru Hanyu had a surprise in store: the two-time Olympic champion, with the help of the Italian Ondrej Gotarek, stood for several seconds in support on the outstretched arms of the Italian. 

Russian figure skaters won three awards in Pyeongchang - two silver (team tournament, Evgenia Medvedev) and gold (Alina Zagitova).

The closing ceremony of the Olympics will be held on Sunday.
