Forty-two thousand tickets for the 2018 Winter Olympics, which will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea, will be distributed to low-income families from Seoul.

This is reported by the portal Inside the games with reference to Seoul Mayor Park Wonsun.

Free buses from Seoul to Pyeongchang will be organized for free ticket holders. The distance between cities is 126 km. Free food and drinks will also be available to low-income families. Tickets will be distributed to competitions that are not expected to be popular with spectators, such as cross-country skiing and biathlon.

"This Olympics is more than just an international competition between countries. This event gives us the opportunity to develop our friendship with people from all over the world. Seoul will fully mobilize its resources and its personnel to help hold the Olympics. We will work as if Pyeongchang hosts the Games together with Seoul," said Park Wonsun.

Olympic Games 2018 will be held in Pyeongchang from February 9 to 25.
