Russian Paralympic athletes arrived in Beijing to start training

Competitions in the capital of China will be held from 4 to 13 March.

Members of the Russian Paralympic team in alpine skiing, snowboarding and sledge hockey have started training before the start of the Paralympic Games in Beijing. Pavel Rozhkov, Acting President of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC), commented on this by the press service of the agency.

On February 25, the athletes arrived in Beijing from the final training camp.

“On February 25, the first charter flight arrived with the Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Sledge Hockey RCC teams, which were undergoing final training camps in Sakhalin and Vladivostok. Sledge hockey players practiced on the ice this morning. Alpine skiers train in the gym due to adverse weather conditions, and snowboarders also train in the gym. The bulk of the administrative staff arrived at the Games and started work on February 25,” Rozhkov said.

The Paralympic Games will be held in Beijing from March 4 to 13. 78 sets of medals in biathlon, alpine skiing, wheelchair curling, skiing, snowboarding and sledge hockey will be played.
