Qatar showed a high level of organization of the 2022 World Cup

FIFA gave an exceptionally positive assessment of the organization of the Club World Cup in Qatar.

The International Football Federation (FIFA) was pleased with the organization of the Club World Cup in Qatar on the eve of the world championship, which the country will host in 2022. This was stated by the Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for the preparation and legacy of the World CupHasan al-Tawadi, whose comment was provided to TASS by the press service of the organizing committee.

From February 4 to 11, a club championship was held in Qatar peace. It was originally scheduled for December, but was later postponed to February due to the pandemic. The matches were played at the Ahmad bin Ali and Evolution City stadiums, which will host the world championship in 2022.

The successful holding of an event (World Club Championship - TASS note) of such a magnitude in a difficult time for everyone became possible thanks to the efforts, steadfastness and ingenuity of all parties involved. The Club World Cup was supposed to take place in December, but the coronavirus pandemic forced FIFA to postpone it for two months.

In December 2021, the Club World Cup in Japan will be the last times will be held in the current format. The next tournament after it will be held in China with the participation of 24 teams. From now on, the competition will be held every four years and will replace the Confederations Cup, a tournament that is traditionally held among the national teams a year before the World Cup.

The World Cup in Qatar will be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022.
