Representatives of the Russian Guard in the men's and women's teams won the second stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing, held in Lillehammer, Norway.


Thus, an athlete from the Urals District of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant Tatyana Sorina, as part of the Russian national team, won gold in the relay race of the 4x5 kilometer stage. and Norwegians - by 1.2.

Previously, two-time world champion, winner of the Tour de Ski, officer of the Ural District of the National Guard of the Russian Federation Captain Sergey Ustyugov and his teammate, Lieutenant Artyom Maltsev, representing the Central District of the department, won silver medals in the men's relay race 4x7.5 kilometers.

It is noteworthy that Sergey Ustyugov ran the final, 4th stage. In his section, the officer of the Russian Guard was able to win back 2 positions and rise from fourth place to second, losing only a fraction of a second to the leaders of the race - the Norwegian team. As a result, the gold went to the Norwegian team (1:14:58.7).

The next stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing will take place on December 11-12 in Davos (Switzerland).
