Ksenia Maricheva became the champion of Russia in skateboarding in the "street" discipline. The competition ended in Krasnodar on Sunday.

The second place was taken by Ekaterina Shengelia, the third place was taken by Alexandra Petrova. Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the men's final was canceled, the winner of the Russian championship was determined by the results of the qualification, where Semyon Kutuzov became the best. Second place went to Konstantin Kabanov, third place to Yvon Martinez.

would be about the same, - told TASS the head of the Skateboarding Federation of Russia Ilya Vdovin. - Today we saw an incredible result from the representative of the Krasnodar Territory Sema Kutuzov, who managed to do everything he wanted to do. We have known him for a long time, he has been in skateboarding not only not for the first year, but also not for the first decade, Semyon Kutuzov deserves to be in the national team, although he did not immediately come to this, he was such a “hero of the streets” . I am glad that we have a new champion of Russia, maybe this will give additional motivation to some of the guys who have traditionally been among the leaders.

“Three generations of skaters rode in the same park during the women's competitions. Katya Shengelia, who participated in X-Games ("X-games"), the most famous Russian skateboarder abroad, who returned after a series of injuries and took second place. Another generation - 18-year-oldKsyusha Maricheva, the winner of the championship and our team leader, Sasha Petrova was always next to the podium, it's great that she did it. She has a very systematic attitude to skateboarding, she has a great future, including as an international judge. We saw a fantastic result with Masha Ozhigova and Rada Tereshchenko, our younger girls took the places closest to the podium,” added Ilya Vdovin.

Russian Championship is a stage of selection for the Olympic Games. Olympic medals in skateboarding for the first time in history will be played at Tokyo Games. Competitions will be held in the disciplines "street" and "park" in the men's and women's classifications. Participants in the Olympic Skateboarding Tournament will be determined by the results of the World Championship and the Olympic rating, which also includes the results of the completed Russian Championship.
