The team of the Siberian Federal District heads the standings of the games "Children of Asia"

The team of Moscow is in second place, the national team of Uzbekistan is in third place.


The national team of the Siberian Federal District on Tuesday headed the team standings of the VII International Sports Games "Children of Asia". Competitions are held in Vladivostok.

On the fifth day, 14 sets of medals were awarded in athletics. The most medals were won by the team of the Siberian Federal District, which has six gold, one silver and one bronze awards, and the team of the Ural Federal District (5-2-2). Seven sets of medals were awarded in wrestling, the leader in the number of awards won was the team of Uzbekistan (5-0-1).

Five sets of medals were awarded in judo competitions, athletes from the Uzbek team won in all disciplines. Two more sets of medals were played in breaking, athletes representing the team of the Siberian Federal District won in both disciplines. One set of awards was awarded in a bullet shooting competition, which was won by an athlete from the team of the Far Eastern Federal District.

Following the results of five days of competition, the Siberian Federal District team is leading in the team standings with 29 gold, 26 silver and 21 bronze medals. The second place is taken by the Moscow team (22-30-22). Uzbekistan's team closes the top three (22-15-20).

The VII International Sports Games "Children of Asia" are held in the capital of Primorye from July 28 to August 8 on behalf of the head of state. The Games are held with the support of the President and Government of the Russian Federation, the Russian Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, as well as the Olympic Council of Asia. The competitions are organized under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee and UNESCO.

273 sets of awards will be played at the games. More than 1.3 thousand athletes from 12 countries, as well as from eight regions of Russia, take part in competitions in 19 sports.
