The cost of the project is estimated at about 1.4 billion rubles, of which 85% will be allocated by the federal government. The remaining 200 million will be added by the region.

meeting on the construction of an important sports facility was held in the Buryat government at the end of last week. There is no final design of the sports facility yet - it will be selected based on the results of a competition that will be held in the near future.

As the press service of the region's leadership clarified, the funds that the republic will invest in the construction belong to a private investor. The local government's repayment schedule exceeds a ten-year period. In addition to the costs of building the complex, the private investor will also bear all the costs of maintaining the ice palace.

As Big Asia reported, in the spring of this year, a journalist from Buryatia raised this issue at a meeting of the All-Russian Popular Front. According to her, for a number of years various authorities in the region have been considering the possibility of building an ice complex, but a final decision has not yet been made.

The President of Russia took the issue under his personal control. In early June, the head of the region, Alexei Tsydenov, announced that he had received an acceptance from Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets for the allocation of 1.2 billion rubles for targeted financing of the construction of the facility.
