Figure skater from Japan wins Grand Prix series in France

Japanese figure skater Kagiyama Yuma won his second gold in the Grand Prix series this season.

The 18-year-old athlete took first place after the short program at the Internationaux de France tournament in Grenoble, France. Kagiyama scored 185.77 despite some jumping errors in the second half of his performance. Kagiyama's total score was 286.41.

The skater's victory, combined with his first place finish in Italy, secured him a place in the Grand Prix Final, which kicks off on December 9 in the Japanese city Osaka.

Another Japanese figure skaterSato Shuntook second place.

In the women's competition, Anna Shcherbakova from Russia won gold. Two other figure skaters from Japan - Higuchi Wakabaand YokoiYuhana- finished third and ninth respectively.
