Cycling library quest will be held in Surgut

Anyone over the age of 18 can become a member.


The action will be held on May 26, it is dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the great Russian writer Alexander Pushkin. The organizer is the centralized library system. The bike library quest is called Pushkin on the Map of Surgut.

During the event, teams of cyclists will visit 5 city libraries and 7 infrastructure facilities, answer questions about the life and work of Pushkin. The participants will demonstrate their erudition, as well as the ability to navigate in Surgut and the skills of owning their “two-wheeled” friend. The teams will have only four hours to complete the tasks and be the first to reach the finish line. The winners will receive gifts and prizes.

Previously, Big Asia reported that Road Cycling Championship was held in Ashgabat. The participants were athletes from Akhal, Dashoguz, Lebap regions and Ashgabat.

In total, seven stages were held, including an individual race for 25 kilometers, races from 50 to 100 kilometers, as well as team competitions for 50 kilometers. 

Kakabai Ataev, representative of the team from the School of Higher Sportsmanship of Turkmenistan, became the gold medalist in the individual competition. He completed all stages in eight hours, six minutes and two seconds.
