Climbing World Cup participants from Russia released from quarantine

Russian climbers who come to the October World Cup in Seoul will not be required to enter South Korea for two weeks quarantine. Yulia Kaplina, silver medalist of the 2021 World Championship in speed climbing, told TASS about this.

"We expect to take part in the World Cup in South Korea," said Kaplina. - As you know, there is quarantine, but we were allowed to do without it, so we are now trying to get a visa and go to start 1 October."

"The South Korean government has met us halfway and allowed all athletes who have previously been vaccinated against coronavirus to come to Seoul for the tournament. But with official permission, and now we are waiting for it. As for me, then I was vaccinated with Sputnik in May. I was preparing for the Olympic Games and wanted to protect myself as much as possible," the athlete added.

The Climbing World Cup will be held in Seoul from October 1 to 3.
