"Belokurikha-2" will become the base of biathletes

In October-November, the Russian youth biathlon team will hold training camps in the Altai resort.

According to the Belokurikha Resort company, a team of 30 people is expected to arrive. They will be accommodated in the Belokurikha sanatorium, and training will take place at the Altai Mountains ski and biathlon complex.

The decision to hold sports camps here was made this summer. In June, the Altai Mountains complex was visited by the President of the Russian Biathlon Union, four-time world champion, Olympic medalist, State Duma deputy Vladimir Drachev. 

The Altai Mountains complex now has a shooting range and terrain that for training athletes. As the administration of Belokurikha clarified, international competitions in biathlon and cross-country skiing can be held here. All parameters - start and finish corridors, the width of the stadium, elevation changes - comply with international standards. 

According to Alexander Malinovsky, Advisor to the President of the Russian Biathlon Union, it is assumed that this is where training camps will be held in preparation for the Olympic Games 2022 in Beijing.
