"Baikal Fishing 2018" starts in Buryatia

In the Republic of Buryatia for the 14th time the competition "Baikal Fishing 2018" is held. The event will last two days: March 30 and 31.

Today, March 30, the competition starts, which brings together thousands of participants and fans on the ice of Lake Baikal. In the area of the village of Turka, Pribaikalsky district of Buryatia, the grand opening of the festival will begin at four o'clock local time, and now the registration of teams and the draw for fishing areas are underway.

This year, more than 200 teams from different regions of Russia will take part in the competition, European Union, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. In addition, teams from twin cities of Ulan-Ude - Manchuria and Ulan Bator, who will come at the invitation of the mayor of the city Alexander Golkov, will compete. According to established traditions, the team of the administration of the capital of Buryatia will take part in the competition.

The guests of honor of the festival will be theater and film actor, laureate of the Russian State Prize Viktor Bychkov, participant in the Beauty of Russia - 2018 competition, Ulan-Udenka Alexandra Tsyrenova, deputy Cheboksary city council Oleg Kortunov.

The main prize of "Baikal fishing" is a car. In addition, valuable prizes will be awarded to teams that take the first ten places.
