Army General Viktor Zolotov ahead of schedule assigned regular military ranks to Olympic athletes of the Russian Guard.


By order of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, the Olympic champion captain Sergey Ustyugov was awarded the rank of "major", and the winner of the Beijing Olympics, senior lieutenant Tatyana Sorina - "captain". The corresponding order was signed by the Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation - Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Viktor Zolotov.

Russia's world leadership in skiing, the next military ranks to officers of the National Guard troops Sergey Ustyugand Tatyana Sorina were awarded ahead of schedule.

On February 12, an officer of the Russian Guard Tatyana Sorina won gold in the women's cross-country skiing relay at the XXIV Winter Olympic Games. And the very next day, a serviceman of the Russian Guard Sergey Ustyugov, together with skiers Alexander Bolshunov, Denis Spitsov and Alexey Chervotkin won the 4x10 relay and brought to the national team a gold medal. 

Tatiana Sorina serves as a sports instructor for a sports team under the administration of the Ural District of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation. He is a master of sports of Russia of international class in cross-country skiing. In 2017, Sorina entered the top thirty of the most powerful skiers in the world and is a regular participant in the World Cup. Tatiana - silver medalist of the 2021 World Relay Championship and 5-time Russian champion 2016-2021

Sergey Ustyugovserves as a sports instructor for a sports team under Administration of the Urals District of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation. He is the Honored Master of Sports of Russia in cross-country skiing. Sergey Ustyugov - three-time world champion among youth, five-time world champion among juniors, two-time world champion, winner of the Tour de Ski race. In 2017, he was awarded the medal "For Combat Commonwealth".
