Athletes from the Tyumen region became the best in the Russian Championship in cross-country skiing

Skiers from Tyumen region won the relay race at Russian championship.

The team of the Tyumen region won the women's 4x5 km relay at the Russian championship in cross-country skiing in Syktyvkar.

The winning team was represented by Olga Kucheruk, Natalya Mekryukova, Ekaterina Smirnova and Anna Grukhvina, the team finished with a score of 53 minutes 46.5 seconds. The second place was taken by the first team of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was represented by Olga Sergeeva, Aliya Iksanova, Anastasia Dotsenko and Victoria Troshina (lag 2.5 seconds). Representatives of the Arkhangelsk region Elizaveta Gorbunova, Svetlana Nikolaeva, Svetlana Zaborskaya and Natalia Nepryaeva (+23.1) became third.

26-year-old Natalia Nepryaevawon the fifth medal in five races, she had previously won victories in sprint, skiathlon, and  separate start and team sprint. The Russian woman is an Olympic relay champion, silver and two-time bronze medalist of the Games. Also in   Natalia  Nepryaeva silver and two bronze medals of the world championships. In the completed international season, Nepryaeva took first place in the overall standings of the World Cup and became the first Russian woman to win the overall standings of the Tour de Ski.

The Russian Championship in Syktyvkar will end on 3 April.
