Athlete from Bahrain sets a world record in the 10 km run

Bahraini athlete Kalkidan Gezanset a new world record in the 10 km at the tournament in Geneva. This was reported by the press service of the International Association of Athletics Federations (World Athletics).

The athlete covered the distance in 29 minutes 38 seconds. The previous record was held by Kenyan Joycilyn Jepkosgei (29.43).

KalkidanGezan 30 years old, she won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics a medal in the 10,000 m run, she also won the gold of the World Indoor Championships (2010) in the 1,500 m run.
