About 40 specialists will leave with a medical expedition to the regions of Yakutia

The traditional expedition of medical workers will leave for the regions of Yakutia to carry out diagnostic, preventive and advisory activities, the Yakutia 24 TV channel reports.

Specialists from Yakutsk and St. Petersburg will take part in the interregional expedition Dolgun-2018, which has been held since 2013 as part of the all-Russian action Wave of Health.

“Tomorrow about 40 specialists will leave by car for the Megino-Kangalassky, Tattinsky and Churapchinsky districts. We will hold lectures on the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases, master classes in articular gymnastics and Nordic walking, a health fair for the population,” Maria Antonova, a member of the expedition, a specialist in the Cabinet of Medical Prevention of the Republic of Belarus No. 3, told the Yakutia 24 TV channel.

As part of the expedition, a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on reducing mortality will be held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Health Lyudmila Verbitskaya.

The expedition will work in the regions from February 25 to March 6.

“Mammography, FLS, X-ray diagnostics and rapid determination of sugar levels will be carried out. Also, children will be received by a neurologist from a clinic in St. Petersburg, ”Antonova noted.

Based on the results of the medical expedition, specialists will send children to a clinic in St. Petersburg and the Republican Medical Center for further in-depth examination and treatment.
