Yuri Trutnev: "Street of the Far East" will show why the Far East love their Motherland

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev got acquainted with the preparations of Vladivostok for the VI Eastern Economic Forum. & nbsp;


“51 countries confirmed their participation in the Forum. Invitations continue to be sent out. The last Forum was a record one in terms of the number of participants. 65 countries became participants. We keep the main principle: the Forum is not for the sake of the Forum, but for the sake of the next step in the development of the Far East. We will propose measures that will help people live better in the Far East, build new enterprises, put cities in order and move forward,” said Yuri Trutnev.


The Deputy Prime Minister inspected the readiness of the Far East Street exhibition and checked the pavilion construction progress. The exposition on the embankment of Ajax Bay will be open on September 2-7 as part of the WEF with the participation of all eleven Far Eastern regions. The exhibition will present the unique features of the Far East, the economic potential of the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, their tourism opportunities and cultural traditions. The regions will acquaint participants and guests of the Forum with implemented and promising investment projects.


“When we, together with the heads of the regions, conceived the “Street of the Far East”, we said that it should show why the inhabitants of Magadan, Chukotka love their land , Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Primorye and other territories. Within the framework of this concept, we are moving forward,” says Yuri Trutnev.


The Deputy Prime Minister drew the attention of representatives of the regions to the need to form permanent pavilions that would not be dismantled immediately after the end of the Forum. “The Far East will continue to develop, and the Forum will continue to be held. It is important that the pavilions are made with high quality and not empty: they can be rented out to entrepreneurs so that there are shops with souvenirs or cafes, or rooms for students' leisure,” he said.


Expositions of federal executive authorities will be located on the Ajax embankment. The pavilion of the Russian Ministry of Sports "Sport is the norm of life" will present the achievements of our team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.


The Ministry for the Development of the Far East of Russia will present the House on a Hectare exposition, where an exhibition-fair of products produced by participants in the Far Eastern Hectare program will be organized. Here you will also be able to get advice on gratuitous obtaining of land in the Far East and the Arctic, get acquainted with the services for participants in this large-scale project.


The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will present the Aurus pavilion. The Fish Market will traditionally be open to demonstrate the products of the Far Eastern fish producers.


In the premises of the Far Eastern Federal University, preparations are underway for exhibition construction. As part of a single multimedia exposition of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East of Russia and JSC "Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic", the results of the work, the purpose of which is the accelerated development of the Far Eastern Federal District, as well as new projects and programs, social initiatives, services for citizens and investors, will be presented. The multifunctional zoning of the exposition allows for presentations and teleconferences, solemn ceremonies for signing agreements, and business negotiations.


Expositions of federal ministries and departments will be placed inside the university building. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia, Rostourism, Rosrybolovstvo, Rossotrudnichestvo, Rosreestr, Rospotrebnadzor and others will tell about their activities. Participants and guests of the Forum will be presented with achievements and successes in the development of international humanitarian activities, domestic medicine, science and industrial products, environmental protection and specially protected natural areas of the Far East, as well as the realization of the potential of tourism, civil aviation, sea, water and rail transport .


On the same day, Yuri Trutnev inspected the city infrastructure involved in the EEF-2021. Mayor Konstantin Shestakov reported on the preparations for the Forum and the prospects for further improvement of Vladivostok. According to him, a program for the development of the Far Eastern capital until 2026 is currently being developed. The program will be presented at the upcoming Forum. The development of a strategy for the spatial development of Vladivostok has begun.


The embankment of the Amur Bay is being improved in the area from the Olimpiets sports complex to the street. Battery. “The embankment is in a state of reconstruction. We understand that minor tile repairs are not enough here, major work is needed. A development concept has been developed, the project has passed an examination, and discussions are underway with potential concessionaires. There are plans to equip here walking areas, children's playgrounds, create a sports and park area, as well as organize places for placing art objects,” said Konstantin Shestakov.


“Significant funds have been allocated for the preparation of the Forum within the framework of the Far Eastern Single Subsidy – about 780 million. We are equipping embankments, making piers near the stadium, which have been in in a ruined state, we put the facades of houses in order, we repair roads, we build parking lots. For us, the Forum is also an opportunity to beautify our city, to put it in order,” said Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of the Primorsky Territory.


“Only at the expense of the program for the socio-economic development of the Far East, without taking into account all other areas that go through the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Health, etc., in Primorye more than 14 billion rubles of federal funds were invested. This money went to new hospitals, schools, kindergartens, roads, and here, in Vladivostok, to the improvement of the city. We will continue this work,” summed up Yuri Trutnev.
