Yamal authorities canceled almost all coronavirus restrictions

The authorities of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO) have canceled the QR code system, the 50% limit on the occupancy of public catering, as well as self-isolation for residents over 60 years old. This was reported by the press service of the regional government on Saturday.

“To visit institutions of sports, culture, social services, swimming pools, baths, fitness clubs, cafes and restaurants, you do not need a QR code or a certificate of a person who has been ill or vaccinated or a certificate of medical exemption and a valid negative PCR test result for coronavirus. The requirement to fill 50% of places when attending events of cultural and sports institutions, catering has also been canceled. Restaurant restrictions have been lifted. The requirement to observe self-isolation for citizens over the age of 60 has also been canceled,” the message says.

Also, all arriving in the district no longer require a negative PCR test result for coronavirus. The mandatory two-week observation of shift workers is also canceled, but the recommendation remains to involve vaccinated or recovered from covid employees with a certificate or a QR code on a rotational basis.

Nevertheless, the Yamal authorities extended the high alert regime until June 1 and retained the requirement to comply mask regime in public places and transport. Public mass events have been suspended until April 1 inclusive.

According to the stopcoronavirus.rf resource, more than 129,000 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Yamal since the beginning of the pandemic. As of March 5, 1,030 cases have been recorded over the past day, three weeks ago, about 2.5 thousand more cases were recorded daily.
