Zhang Jianhua, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Investment of the State Committee for Development and Reforms of the People's Republic of China: "Currently, China and Central Asian countries are actively participating in the global division of labor.
The forum helped to unlock the potential of regional industrial investments and increase the sustainability of the regional economy. Countries can work together to deepen cooperation and development, as well as contribute to building a community with a common future."

In recent years, the volume of bilateral trade between China and Central Asian countries has been steadily growing. Last year, it increased by 40% year-on-year and reached $70 billion 200 million. Trade and direct investment continue to stabilize capital inflows.

A free trade zone is actively developing in Heilongjiang Province Since the beginning of the year, work has been in full swing in the pilot free trade zone in Heilongjiang.

The northernmost in China, it consists of three subzones: in Harbin, Heihe and Suifenhe. They consistently implement a policy of government support designed to attract investment and promote economic development. For example, in Heihe City District, on the border between China and Russia, a cross-border industrial ecosystem of e-commerce has been formed.

In its warehouse, goods are automatically scanned and then shipped across the country. Moreover, it is the first cross-border central warehouse in the northeastern provinces of China that works with the international platform Pinduoduo. Today, more than 200,000 goods are waiting to be sent to recipients here. The city also introduced the 1210 regime, which implies special conditions for the customs import of online purchases within the framework of cross-border e-commerce.

Gao Yunpeng, Deputy General Director of the Trade and Economic Company in Heihe: "As a local entrepreneur, I am very satisfied, as I trust the measures of the authorities.
Under the 1210 regime, we can import Russian goods through customs to the Heihe bonded zone — this is a platform with a special customs status. And then, with the help of an electronic system, we can directly exit the declaration zone and, finally, send the goods to the customer." Enterprises in the Suifenhe free Trade zone have also been actively working since the beginning of the year.

So, in the workshop of the company for the production of agricultural products, compound feed made from Russian corn and soy flour is being prepared for shipment. It will be transported to Harbin, where it will be delivered directly to customers.

Pan Hongqiang, Director of Agricultural Production Company in Suifenhe: "Before the Spring Festival, we received a large number of orders for compound feed.
Since the production plan was relatively urgent, we recalled all workers from the weekend to start full production on the fourth day of the new year. Now the daily production volume is about 300 tons."

This company is engaged not only in the delivery of soybeans and corn from Russia. It also produces compound feed and oil, performs deep processing of products to increase its added value. They intend to process 400 tons of soybeans per day and produce 300 thousand tons of feed per year.

Li Chengguo, Head of Agricultural production company in Suifenhe: "We process corn and wheat delivered to the free trade zone.
Our company actively uses preferential state policy in relation to residents of the FTA. For example, tariffs for processed products have decreased from sixty-five to four percent. With such economic easing, we are interested in speeding up the delivery of grain from Russia."

During the three years of operation of the Heilongjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone, more than 300 innovative achievements have been recorded here. In total, more than 21 thousand new enterprises have appeared here, 355 investment projects have been created, the value of contracts exceeds 260 billion yuan. This year, Heilongjiang will focus on strategic positioning and the benefits of cooperation with Russia, especially with border areas. The Chinese authorities hope that the pilot zone will play an active role as a comprehensive pilot platform for reforms and openness in the country.

International experts noted the importance of structural reforms for the steady growth of the Chinese economy After China lifted anti-epidemic restrictions, international institutions began to make optimistic forecasts of economic growth in China this year.

The question of how to ensure a sustainable, confident and long-term economic recovery remains open. Experts of the International Monetary Fund believe that the country's economy still needs comprehensive macroeconomic and structural reforms to ensure steady growth.

Китайская панорама-498-30.jpg

Stephen Barnett, Senior Representative of the International Monetary Fund in China: "This year, the budget deficit should remain generally unchanged compared to the past.
Thus, fiscal policy can continue to support the economy. The same applies for the most part to monetary policy. And we see opportunities for using the interest rate as the main instrument of monetary policy, but this is in the short term."

Китайская панорама-498-32.jpg

And in the more distant future, China may face such problems as, for example, a reduction in the labor force. According to the IMF representative, there are two ways to increase economic growth. One of them is to gradually raise the retirement age, which will actually increase the number of workers. Another way is to use capital and labor more efficiently, as well as increase productivity. IMF experts also emphasize that for long-term growth it is necessary to stimulate demand and consumption. And this is critically important not only for China.

Китайская панорама-498-37.jpg

Jens Hildebrandt, Executive Director of the German Chamber of Commerce in China: "Over the past couple of weeks, we have seen several announcements from large and medium-sized German enterprises that have opened new factories here, new research and development centers, and activities in this direction are certainly continuing."

The main economic indicators of China, for example, the business index activity, give positive signals.

Китайская панорама-498-39.jpg

Stephen Barnett, Senior Representative of the International Monetary Fund in China: "We found that when the index in China rose by one percentage point, growth in other countries also accelerated — by 0.3 percentage points.
This is mainly due to the fact that China buys more goods from them."

The decline in the real estate sector, the uncertainty associated with the pandemic, and external risks continue to cloud the picture of China's economic prospects. But the reforms will definitely be carried out, which means that China will overcome the current challenges sooner or later.

New technologies help Chinese farmers to increase yields and reduce production costs This year, China plans to actively develop agriculture.

One of the measures is the introduction of science and technology. They are already actively used by farmers of Yanjing County, known for wheat production. 5G technologies, big data and other innovations have been adopted here for a long time. With the beginning of spring, wheat sprouts begin to turn green in local fields. This means that more water, fertilizers and attention from specialists are required. Thanks to smart technologies, all the work here can be done faster and more efficiently.

Китайская панорама-498-44.jpg

Peng Liangcheng, Director of the Agricultural cooperative: "Since the creation of an intelligent agricultural platform based on 5G technology, our cooperative has significantly reduced labor and production costs.
The system itself monitors the entire process, and also calculates the amount of water, fertilizers and pesticides that are required in a particular area of the field using algorithms."

Китайская панорама-498-48.jpg

The 5G+ intelligent agriculture management system makes its own decisions on launching processes. To do this, it analyzes the environmental conditions: temperature, humidity, precipitation. Remotely, the smart system can start the irrigation and fertilization procedure. You just need to press the button — and the job is done. Special pest monitoring and spore capture stations are also installed in the field. The computer can accurately predict the appearance of certain problems in the process of crop growth.

Китайская панорама-498-52.jpg

Li Zhe, Manager of the Yanjing Branch of China Mobile Henan Company: "Based on the data, we can conduct weather monitoring and early warning, make the right decisions on irrigation and fertilization, pest control, and so on."

Technologies not only contribute to the development of modern agriculture, but also attract the most talented workers to it.

Китайская панорама-498-54.jpg

Yang Zhigang, Head of the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Areas of Yanjing County, Henan Province: "In recent years, more and more talented specialists, farmers with knowledge in the field of technology and management, have been seeking to the rural areas of Yanjing.
They are our main strength during the sowing of grain."

According to statistics, in Yanjing County, after the introduction of smart agricultural machinery into production, the average annual grain harvest increased by about a third, and farmers' income doubled.

The Shenzhou-14 crew made their first public appearance after returning to Earth

The Shenzhou-14 crew members made their first public appearance 75 days after landing. The three Taikonauts are in great shape and in high spirits. Mission commander Chen Dong said that they had completed many tasks in orbit, including several rendezvous and docking and three spacewalks. The cosmonauts also gave lectures live and staged scientific and technical experiments.

Китайская панорама-498-57.jpg

Chen Dong, Shenzhou-14 Crew Commander: "It was the first time I was a crew commander.
Fortunately, I had two companions. We worked hard and got impressive results. At the same time, we were not lonely, because the ground team provided us with timely and effective support — they became a strong support for us in successfully completing tasks."

Китайская панорама-498-61.jpg

At the Chinese orbital station, the Shenzhou-14 crew met with the participants of the Shenzhou-15 mission, who arrived to replace them. Liu Yang, a taikonaut from Shenzhou-14, noted that it was even easier and more convenient to transfer work to colleagues in orbit than on Earth.

Liu Yang, a member of the Shenzhou-14 crew: "We gave them a tour of the new house, explained all the functions that it has.
We also spoke in detail about our experience on the station to help them get used to the new environment faster and adapt to work and life in orbit."

Китайская панорама-498-63.jpg

For the third member of the Shenzhou-14 crew, Cai Xiuzhe, this space mission was the debut. He is glad and proud to have received such an honor.

Cai Xuzhe, a member of the Shenzhou-14 crew: "On November 3 last year, we witnessed how the Chinese orbital station took its final T-shape after all the assembly work.
This was a key step towards the construction of the station. We are lucky to be Taikonauts in a new era, we are very proud of our great Homeland."

Китайская панорама-498-64.jpg

In the coming weeks, the Shenzhou-14 crew will continue to recover after a long stay in weightlessness: to build muscle mass, develop endurance, and activate the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. After the rehabilitation course, the Taikonauts will be able to return to ground work and training.
