Kyokushin karate will be taught in seaside schools

Classes will be held in one of the schools in the city of Artem, one in Nakhodka and one general education institution in Vladivostok.


Classes in one of the most difficult types of karate - kyokushin this year will begin in schools of Primorye. Experimental classes will be held in three educational institutions from this year, the press service of the regional government reported on Tuesday.

"The Kyokushin to School project will start in Primorye already this academic year. This became known during a meeting of the Minister of Education of the krai Elvira Shamonova with three-time world champion in contact karate-kyokushin Haid Mantaev, chairman of the Association of Kyokushin of Primorsky Krai, silver medalist of the World Championship in Tokyo Dmitry Shcherbakov and President of the Academy of Kyokushin of Primorsky Krai Evgeny Savin, " the message says.

At the first stage, the project will begin operating in one of the schools in the city of Artem, one in Nakhodka and one general education institution in Vladivostok. It is planned to consider the possibility of studying martial arts by schoolchildren for other institutions of the region.

The press service of the regional government TASS reported that the classes will be conducted by invited trainers.
