Since 2019, the airport has been undergoing reconstruction. The renovation of the complex began with the reconstruction of the forecourt and the replacement of all utilities. Then there was the construction of the terminal of domestic air lines with a total area of over 55.9 thousand square meters. m. The work was planned to be completed by the end of 2022. Passenger traffic by the end of 2021 was 6.7 million people, which is 45% more than the results of 2020. By the end of 2022, passenger traffic increased by another 13% and reached 7.6 million people.
