A monument to Cheburashka will be erected in Kislovodsk

The monument to Cheburashka is planned to be installed on Karl Marx Street in Kislovodsk, where one of the scenes of the film of the same name was filmed. This was reported to journalists on Saturday in the press service of the city administration.

"A monument to Cheburashka is planned to be installed in Kislovodsk on Cheburashkinskaya Street. The idea has already been approved by the city's Public Council. The sculpture of Cheburashka, the hero of the 2023 film of the same name, which became the highest—grossing in the history of Russian cinema, is planned to be installed on Karl Marx Street," said the head of the resort city Evgeny Moiseev, whose words are quoted in the message.

He noted that filming of one of the most spectacular scenes of the movie took place on this street.

"People have already begun to call the street Cheburashkinskaya. There is also a tradition in Kislovodsk — at the cinema at the end of the viewing, the audience together with the characters sing their favorite song about the birthday," the head of the resort added.

According to the press service, earlier Kislovodsk received gratitude from Mosfilm for "invaluable support in the creation of the film "Cheburashka".
