Kazakhstan will host a festival dedicated to the 30th anniversary of relations with the Russian Federation

The international festival "Russia - Kazakhstan: Cultural Heritage", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, will be held from September 28 to October 8 on the territory of the republic. This was reported on Saturday by the press service of the Russian House in Alma-Ata.

"The festival aims to tell about the dialogue between the cultures of Russia and Kazakhstan, which lasts for more than one century, to acquaint a wide audience with cultural figures who have left their mark on our common history. The festival's rich concert and lecture program consists of cultural and educational events aimed at the general public, all events are free of charge," the message on the website of the Russian Abroad Heritage Foundation says.

It also notes that Russia and Kazakhstan are united not only by a common history, but also by a common cultural heritage. "The traditions of centuries-old contacts and a significant period of common statehood have formed a unique cultural fabric in which the traditions of the two peoples are intertwined," the publication says.

Events within the framework of the festival will be held in Astana and Alma-Ata.
