Kazakhstan has moved from the red to the yellow zone in terms of the spread of COVID-19.


The sanitary and epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan has stabilized, the rate of spread of coronavirus infection has decreased. This was announced on Wednesday by the head of the country's government Askar Mamin at a meeting with PresidentKassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“According to the Prime Minister, the sanitary and epidemiological situation stabilized in the country. Kazakhstan has moved from the red to the yellow zone in terms of the spread of COVID-19. The reproduction index of the virus is 0.94. Infectious disease departments are 33% full, intensive care units are 25% full,” the presidential press service said.

As Askar Mamin noted, vaccination rates are also increasing in the republic. “To date, 3 million vaccinations have been made in Kazakhstan, of which 2 million people have been vaccinated with the first component, and almost 1 million people with the second,” the message says.
