Employees of seven law enforcement agencies of the region took part in the anti-terrorist exercises.
On Monday, law enforcement officials conducted anti-terrorist exercises on the territory of a separate mixed aviation regiment of the Russian Defense Ministry in the city of Yelizovo in Kamchatka, during which they released six people who became "hostages" of an armed group of people. This was reported by the press service of the FSB Directorate for the Kamchatka Territory.
"According to the legend of the exercise, a group of armed men of 12 people seized an An-12 military transport aircraft at a joint airfield. 6 people were taken hostage. During the exercises, the organization of priority measures to prevent a terrorist act at a military facility and the conduct of a counter-terrorist operation were worked out. As a result of the measures taken by the operational headquarters, the terrorists were neutralized, and the "hostages" were released. employees of seven law enforcement agencies, including the department of the Federal Security Service, the Border Guard, the department of the National Guard, as well as the government of the Kamchatka Territory and the administration of the Elizovsky District.
"The personnel of all structures involved in repelling terrorist threats demonstrated a high level professionalism," the press service of the FSB department for the Kamchatka Territory noted.
