The Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Foundation donated incubators for babies to Georgia

The Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Charitable Foundation "For the sake of children's health and future" handed over transport incubators equipped with artificial respiration apparatuses to the Ministry of Health of Georgia.

Specialized incubators will always be available for babies in Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi. If necessary, reanimobiles with these devices will be sent to nearby regions.

The incubators were handed over to the Center for Emergency Care and Emergency Coordination of the Ministry of Health as part of the  Screening of newborns to detect critical forms of heart disease project. The project is implemented by the Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Charitable Foundation "In the name of health and the future of children" with the support of the Kartu Foundation.

The main goal of the project — provide emergency and urgent care to babies who need it. As part of this initiative, since the summer of 2014, in all maternity hospitals in Georgia, newborns have been tested free of charge for the presence of critical forms of congenital heart disease. has been implementing various projects in Georgia since 2004 . All projects are carried out jointly with the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Protection of Georgia.

The Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Foundation was founded as a non-governmental organization in 1991 by world-famous cellist Mstislav Rostropovich and his wife, an equally famous operatic singer Galina Vishnevskaya. For more than 25 years, this foundation has been supporting programs in the field of children's health care in Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
