In Russia, as part of the Immortal Regiment campaign, about three thousand events were held, in which more than 10 million people took part.

The idea of holding the “Parade of Winners” belongs to Tyumen, where in 2007 for the first time residents came to the Victory Day with portraits of their front-line heroes.

120 cities of Russia already held a solemn action.

A year later, residents of 500 cities in seven countries of the world took to the streets with portraits of heroic relatives.

This year's "Immortal Regiment" walked the streets of Latakia for the first time. Russian compatriots living in Syria asked their relatives to send them St. George's ribbons and photographs of participants in the Great Patriotic War from Russia in advance.

Latakians marched in a column with portraits of their relatives who died in the war on terrorism. With special gratitude, to the sounds of the Russian anthem, they carried portraits of our servicemen - pilots, doctors, special forces - who gave their lives in the fight for peace in Syria.
