According to Khaosod newspaper and Spring News TV channel on Sunday, the children were able to escape on their own despite being in captivity for 16 days. Before leaving the cave, they covered more than 4 km. The first teenager left at 17:40 local time (13:40 Moscow time), the second - at 17:50 (13:50 Moscow time). The third child rose to the surface at 18:06 (14:06 Moscow time).

Khaosod emphasizes that four young football players have already been evacuated from the cave. This information was officially confirmed by representatives of the country's authorities. The head of the rescue mission, Narongsak Osotthanakon, also said that the boys were taken by helicopter to the nearby city of Chiang Rai, from where ambulances transported them to the hospital.

The rescue operation employs 5 members of Thailand's elite SEAL fleet and 13 foreign drivers. They are trying to get the rest of the boys - under the age of 11 and weak swimmers - through the flooded narrow passages of Khao Luang.

Rescuers are hurried by the approaching season of heavy monsoon rains and storms in the northern province of Chiang Rai, increasing the risks in this war by the hour with water and time.

Presumably, specialists should need 3-4 days.

Big Asia TV channel and website details of the search for children have been previously reported. Today it became known that on June 23, the youth team led by the coach literally went in search of adventure - the guys wanted to explore the cave complex near the border with Myanmar and celebrate the birthday of one of the boys.
