An audit of the site for the release of Sputnik V in Uzbekistan will take place in the near future.

An audit of a possible site for the production of the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V in Uzbekistan will be held in the near future, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation said following the meeting of the head of the ministry, Denis Manturov, with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.

“The issue of vaccine production on the territory of Uzbekistan is being considered. In the near future, an audit of a possible production site will be carried out, ”the ministry quotes Manturov as saying.

Cooperation in aircraft construction and cooperation in the production of pharmaceuticals was also discussed, the message says.

Earlier it became known that Russia and Uzbekistan are discussing the production of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine at the Jurabek Laboratories enterprise in Tashkent.

In April, RDIF and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service of Uzbekistan signed an agreement on supply of 500 thousands of  two-component doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.

In April, the first 100,000th batch of the vaccine (50,000 doses of each component) was sent to Tashkent, in early June, two more batches by 70 thous. doses of the first and second components.
