Taiwan has banned e-cigarettes.

Taiwan approved on Thursday amendments to the law on the prevention of the harmful effects of smoking, raising the age of purchasers of tobacco products from 18 to 20 years. A ban has also been introduced on the use, importation, sale and advertising of electronic cigarettes and other alternative devices for tobacco consumption.

In addition, according to Taiwan Radio International, the list of smoking-free rooms and facilities has been expanded. Now, in addition to schools, it includes higher educational institutions. Bars and nightclubs have been allowed to organize special smoking rooms.
