Thailand expects to resume direct flights from Russia by winter

According to him, "the country's authorities are interested in restoring the mass tourist flow from the Russian Federation for the winter season and are making serious efforts for this." "The expansion of the number of regular flights and the resumption of charter programs from Russia are a priority," he stressedAndrey Snetkov. — The authorities of the kingdom are looking for ways to return the flow of Russian-speaking tourists to Thailand to the pre-pandemic level." In 2019, 39.9 million foreign tourists visited Thailand, including 1.48 million Russians.

He also said that the issue of introducing Mir payment system cards into circulation was discussed at the meeting. "Negotiations with local banks on this topic have been going on for years, but plans to launch payments on Mir cards are now gaining real chances," he believes Andrey Snetkov.

This week, direct flights between Moscow and Phuket appeared in the Aeroflot winter schedule for 2022-2023. Tickets have not yet been put on sale. The airline has not yet made official statements about the restart of flights to Thailand.
