Tablet MatePad Pro 2 may be released on a new operating system

Huawei plans to release the first tablet on its own operating system.
Chinese tech company Huawei is set to release its flagship tablet, the MatePad Pro 2, which will be the first such gadget to run on the Harmony operating system. The Gizmochain information portal reported on Tuesday, citing sources, that the developer will soon officially announce the release of the new product.
The company's engineers will equip the tablet with an 8-core Hisilicon Kirin 9000 processor. Compared to the first MatePad Pro model, the new version of the tablet will have a larger screen size. Its predecessor had a diagonal of 10.8 inches, and MatePad Pro 2 will come in two versions - with a diagonal of 12.2 or 12.6 inches.
In April 2020, Huawei opened sales of the first tablet in Russia at a high price segment, then the recommended retail price of the gadget was from 44 thousand 990 rubles. MatePad Pro was the first tablet with wireless charging and the ability to charge other gadgets.
