Students of Altai State University won the second place in the "STARTUP" Competition of innovative projects"

On February 7, on the basis of the Entrepreneurial Boiling Point of the Kuzbass State Agricultural Academy, the final defense of the "STARTUP" Competition of Innovative Projects" took place, in which the team of the Altai State Agrarian University with the project "ProRassada" took part.
The event was held within the framework of the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform. The operator of the "Entrepreneurial Boiling Points" is the NTI Platform.
The event was attended by teams from the Kuzbass State Agricultural Academy, Omsk State University named after P.A. Stolypin, Altai State University and Kemerovo State Medical University.
Altai GAU was represented in the competition by the ProRassada project team, consisting of students of the Faculty of Engineering Ivan Lopatin and Alexander Schrader and students of the Faculty of Agronomy Elizaveta Atroschenkova and Valeria Zelenina. The trip to the neighboring region was organized at the expense of the University. The ProRassada project is to develop technology and manufacture cups for seedlings from buckwheat husk and a special biopolymer. Such a cup is not only cheap to produce, but also due to the phenolic compounds contained in buckwheat, protects the plant from fungi and diseases. The team previously presented a project in the intensive "From idea to prototype" of the "University 20.35". The development of the ASAU student team received a great response in the media at the federal and regional levels.
According to the results of the "STARTUP" Competition of Innovative Projects, the project of the Altai GAU team won an honorable second place, losing only to the team of the hosts. A cash prize of 10,000 rubles is also provided for the certificates of the winners. According to the general decision, the guys will use this money to organize the production of cups, which they are going to launch by the new agricultural season.
"The experts of the competition highly appreciated our project. In their opinion, it is ideally suited to the format of a student startup. They recommended to reconsider the cost of the cup, as they were confused by its low price. But we use production waste – husk, so the cost is low!", – commented the results of the competition, the leader of the project "ProRassada" Ivan Lopatin.
