According to him, Vabiotech will deliver Sputnik V to medical facilities and vaccination centers where vaccination is carried out as soon as a factory certificate for the first imported batch of the Russian drug is received. “These vaccines, along with those produced by Vabiotech under a signed contract with a Russian partner, will be used for a national vaccination campaign,” said Do Tuan Dat.

Vietnam on September 29 received the first commercial batch of the Sputnik V vaccine in the amount of 739 thousand doses. dose, which was supplied to the republic in accordance with a tripartite agreement between the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and two Vietnamese companies - the diversified holding SOVICO Group and the pharmaceutical company Vabiotech. Under this contract, Vietnam will receive 40 million doses of Sputnik V until June 2022. At the same time, the parties plan to continue building up the capacity to produce the Russian vaccine in Vietnam.

In July of this year, Vabiotech released a trial batch of Sputnik V, which received a positive conclusion for compliance with quality standards after testing at the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after. On September 24, Vabiotech announced the successful production of the first regular batch of the vaccine, which was also analyzed and positively evaluated by the Russian side for compliance with the standard.

"Sputnik V" received registration from the Ministry of Health of Vietnam on March 23 this year, becoming one of the first among eight foreign vaccines approved for use in the country .
