Sputnik V will be tested in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan has started testing the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. This was stated by the Minister of Health of the medical industry Nurmuhammet Amannepesov at a meeting of the Government via video link, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports today.


Recall that this week Turkmenistan became the first state in Central Asia to officially approve the use of the Sputnik V vaccine on its territory, and entered the top ten countries where it was registered.


Speaking about the Sputnik V vaccine from Russia registered in Turkmenistan, the head of state focused on the importance of taking measures in the field of prevention and control of infectious diseases.


President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Minister of Health and Medical Industry to continue work on the registration in Turkmenistan of the new EpiWakKorona vaccine developed in the Russian Federation, as well as preventive medicines and vaccines from other partner countries.


As the head of state noted, in Turkmenistan, strengthening human health, providing favorable conditions for work and comfortable rest for people will always be a priority for successfully implemented state policy.
