Russia is ready to supply the Sputnik V vaccine to Kyrgyzstan.


Russia confirmed its readiness to supply the Sputnik V vaccine to Kyrgyzstan. This is stated in the message on the website of the government following the meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Aleksey Overchuk and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artem Novikov.

“The Russian side confirmed readiness to start deliveries of the Sputnik V vaccine for the population of Kyrgyzstan. The Republic has officially registered the Sputnik V vaccine against the new coronavirus infection, in connection with which the country is ready to include the Russian vaccine in the vaccination program, as well as to start deliveries of the vaccine to the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, ”the message on the Cabinet’s website says.

According to the report, during the meeting priority tasks of expanding Russian-Kyrgyz trade and economic cooperation were considered. Particular attention was paid to the course of joint work on the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to Russia on February 24–25, 2021.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the legal status of the stay of migrants from Kyrgyzstan on the territory of the Russian Federation and the issue of regulating the legal status of foreign citizens who are on the territory of Russia in violation of the established procedure for stay. The Russian side provided clarifications on the procedure for registering the legal status of foreign citizens until June 15, 2021 without the application of administrative measures and the need to travel outside the territory of the Russian Federation.
