Scorching heat has replaced heavy rains in Japan

With the end of the rainy season all over Japan in the city of Sapporo, the country's northernmost prefecture, Hokkaido, the air temperature rose to record levels.

On Monday, the Japan Meteorological Administration announced the end of the rainy season in the Shikoku region in the west of the country, following all other regions.

Shortly before 2 p.m. br>
Temperatures jumped to 37.3 degrees in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture and Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture; degrees - in the city of Fukuoka, the prefecture of the same name.
The air temperature exceeded  34 degrees in Tokyo and in the cities of Nagoya and Takamatsu.

Forecasters urge residents to refrain from going out, drink more liquid and use air conditioners to heat stroke.

The public is also encouraged to take off their masks when outside to rest, if possible to maintain proper social distancing.
