Russian epidemiologists provided assistance to doctors from Uzbekistan in the fight against COVID-19

A group of Russian doctors has completed a mission to assist colleagues from Uzbekistan.

A group of 35 Russian epidemiologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, infectious disease specialists, radiologists and laboratory diagnostics doctors who arrived in Uzbekistan 18 September 18 to assist local colleagues in the fight coronavirus completed their mission. This was announced on Friday by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

“Members of the group during their stay in the republic visited medical facilities in Tashkent, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Namangan, Andijan, Fergana and Tashkent regions and provided assistance to colleagues from  ;Uzbekistan in fighting the spread of coronavirus infection,  - the message says.

It is noted that this is the second group of Russian doctors who provided assistance Uzbekistan fight COVID-19. The first one worked in the Republic from mid-August to mid-September at Research Institute of Virology, Research Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Research Institute, and also in the largest in Republic Zangiata Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital.
