Russia and Singapore discussed the prospects for the resumption of air traffic between the countries, according to the message of the Federal Air Transport Agency following the results of a working meeting of the First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Transport of Russia - Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore in RF Sadasivan Premjit.
The countries also informed each other about measures being taken in countries to phasing the regime of anti-epidemic restrictions during the restoration of air passenger traffic and agreed that consultations on phased resumption of bilateral air traffic, taking into account the epidemiological situation in Russia and Singapore, will be continued.
In March of this year, suspended all commercial passenger flights abroad. Carriers continued to operate only export flights - to return Russians from abroad and send foreigners to their homeland. Export flights of the Russian Federation were canceled in September, now air carriers can carry out cargo and passenger transportation abroad - restrictions apply for passengers of these flights depending on the country of arrival.
Since summer, the Russian Federation partially resumed flights to a number of countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Egypt, UAE, Turkey, Great Britain, Switzerland, Tanzania , Serbia, Japan, the Maldives and Cuba Also, flights with Ethiopia and Seychelles were formally resumed.
